Aged in French oak barrels, our Chardonnay shows prominent toasted oak and cedar notes. Gorgeous fruit tones and lighter florals offer a juicy acidity with a long creamy finish.
Gorgeously fruited and complex, the wine shows grilled peach, mango, nougat and cedar characters on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate offering terrific fruit intensity backed by creamy mouthfeel and juicy acidity. It's wonderfully composed and harmonious with a lengthy expansive finish. At its best: now to 2025. 93 Points = 5 Stars.
Our Chardonnay grapes were hand-harvested in the Moutere by the St Pauli team and handled in barrel. To protect the delicate flavours the grapes were hand-picked early in the morning to avoid the increasing temperatures before being pressed and destemmed. Keeping the grapes cold helps retain important acidity and protects the delicate flavours, skins and pulp. Our Chardonnay has been aged in French oak (Barrique) for 11 months.
