Tasting Notes & Reviews
Attractively fruited and nicely lifted, the bouquet shows golden peach, baked apple, mango and subtle spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that is rounded and supple. It is generous and flavoursome with elegant sweetness backed by refreshing acidity, finishing juicy and lingering. 4 Stars ~ Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Fresh, tangy pinot gris in an off-dry style with typical pear, apple, ginger and subtle honeysuckle and floral flavours. A bright, smooth-textured wine with a lingering, crisp, clean finish. 90/100, Silver Ribbon Recommended ~ Bob Campbell, The Real Review
Our Pinot Gris grapes were hand-harvested in the Moutere Hills by the St Pauli team and handled in tank. Grapes were hand-picked early in the morning to protect delicate flavours and kept in a cold store overnight before pressing and destemming. Keeping the grapes cold helps retain important acidity and protects the delicate flavours, skins and pulp. This wine was kept in tank for five months before being filtered with fine earth in preparation for bottling.
